Jeff has come to join us at Gaytonwood from the Czech Republic. We're hoping to show and work him and mate him to our bitches. He should add some different bloodlines as his pedigree is based on English dogs which are no longer available to us. Thanks to Jana and Ivana of Friendly Goldens www.friendlygr.com for making the long journey from the Czech Republic to bring him over to us and trusting us with him.
He is a proven sire and is turning out to be a sensible stud dog. Hopefully as his coat grows he will be seen at some Championship shows in 2008, hopefully with some of his children.
Jeff has started showing in the UK, gaining 2nd places in Open Dog under Mrs Sheila Watkins (Tamarley) and Mrs Janet Crang (Linoaks) and a 1st in Limit and Reserve Best of Breed under Mrs Margaret Robson (Mimaro). At his first Championship show he was shortlisted in a strong Limit Dog class under Julie Seamons (Messano). Jeff gained his first Best of Breed at the Dukeries (Notts) Gundog Club under Mrs Betty Hird (Wyebank).
He was placed second in Limit Dog at Southern Golden Retriever Championship Show under breed specialist, Pat Arnold (Amberland) gaining him his Kennel Club Stud Book Number and qualifying him for Crufts for life.
His first litter has been born and we have photo's of them and his other progeny on the site.
