Ritzy at Crufts 2007 winning 2nd place in Show Gundog Working Certificate Bitch. Photo taken by Andy Rose just after her first birthday. and this one at almost 18 months
Ritzy was chosen to stay here from a lovely litter of five girls and two boys. Her sister Echo has gone to live with Tammy & Richard Burrell and their family and their brother Ozzie has gone to live with Marcela Noc Bogeja in Slovenia. Hopefully these three will be seen in the show ring in due course. The other pups have gone to live with their new families and are working hard on gardening, decorating, playing with children and being puppies. Ritzy just missed her Junior Warrant, mainly due to having such a profuse and uncontrollable coat, although she was consistently placed at Championship shows throughout her puppy and junior career. She was mated to Gunhills Game Master JW (Hadlee) and produced a litter at the end of December 2005. These were already booked before they were born. One, Dylan, is hopefully going to join his parents in the ring and therefore he has his own page. Also pictured with his mum above. Ritzy was taken to Gundog Training classes in 2006, and excelled all my expectations (I thought she was a blonde bimbo) as it seems she is able to understand commands and retrieve - here's hoping to run her in the Show Gundog Working Certificate in the winter 2006. Ritzy gained her Stud Book number at Eastern Counties Championship Show under Breed Specialist Mrs Lynne Hennessey (Ritzilyn) to whom we send enormous thanks. Ritzy then gained her Bronze KC Good Citizens Test and started to pick up cold game in training for her Show Gundog Working Certificate - see the pictures - we are indebted to the Committee of the Northern Golden Retriever Association for setting up this day and helping people with show dogs to do the job they were bred for. Thanks to Harriet Thompson for the photos. She was successful in gaining her Show Gundog Working Certificate in December 2006 during her first season picking up. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
