After the loss of Georgie the week before the pups were born Andy saw a 'Georgie look-a-like' and wanted to keep her to fill the gap. (Although in my opinion she looks nothing like Georgie!) So Minna was 'spotted' and was also chosen by Julie and Paul who own Tommy, her father, and so she stayed. She will hopefully show the positive attributes of both her parents and join us for showing and picking up as she grows.
Minna has started gundog training and has taken to it like a duck to water. She is also starting to develop the promise she showed as a pup although she will be slower to mature than some of my others.
At the Northern Golden Retriever Club Championship Show she was awarded a 3rd in minor puppy, qualifying her for Crufts 2011 by respected breed specialist Ann Hagger (Fairfield). At this show she was also awarded her Good Citizens Bronze award at 7 and a half months of age.
We are delighted that she is the next generation of brains and beauty from this kennel. This now means I need to get her ready for her Show Gundog Qualifier now!!!

Minna was awarded a 3rd in Puppy at the Southern GRS Championship show qualifying her for Crufts 2012.
She was awarded Best Puppy at Matlock and District Canine Society by the Judge Paul Seamons.
She also entered her first working test in February 2011 and completed all four tests although not quite as the judge intended - she ran in before she was told but she got all the dummies!!! Work in progress.
