Here are details of our diary for 2006:
December 22nd 2006 - Ritzy gained her Show Gundog Working Certificate at the Eastern Counties GRC event under Judges Jim Gale and Dave Barnes. Thanks to the judges and all involved in running this day, especially when the weather (freezing fog) was against us.
December 3rd 2006 - Dylan was awarded 2nd Puppy Dog, 1st Junior, 2nd Maiden Dog and 2nd Novice Dog by Heather Avis (Glenavis). Thank you.
November 26th 2006 - Zinq was awarded Best Puppy by Judge, Jane Wild (Bluewaters) and went on to take Puppy Group 3 under Linda Taylor (Wansleydale) at Walsall & District Kennel Association . Ritzy was also awarded 3rd in Open Bitch. At the same time Pat and Dylan (Gaytonwood Young Hustler for Toddrosa) won Best Puppy in Breed under Gordon Kipps (Wheatcroft) at South of England Gundog. Our thanks go to both judges for a lovely day.
November 25th 2006 - Zinq went out shooting for the first time and took it in his stride.
November 19th 2006 Gaytonwood Young Hustler for Toddrosa was awarded Best Puppy in Breed by Jane Clark (Trewater) at Camberley Show. Thanks to the judge and well done to Pat and Dylan.
November 18th 2006 - Zinq was awarded 1st Minor Puppy, 1st Puppy and Best Puppy in Breed at Huntingdon Canine Society by Pauline Beebe (Carangill) to whom we send our thanks. Pebbles was also awarded a third and a fourth prize card.
November 11th 2006 - Zinq was awarded a Reserve place in both Minor Puppy Dog and Puppy Dog at Gundog Breeds of Scotland Championship Show by Monica Everett-Monks (Lorinford) and Ritzy gained a Reserve place in the Limit Bitch class by Sheila Watkins (Tamarley). Thanks to both judges for making it a lovely day.
November 5th 2006 - Dylan (Gaytonwood Young Hustler for Toddrosa) was awarded 1st in Puppy, Junior and Novice and Best Puppy in breed by judge Hilary Mell (Meloak) at Hampshire Gundog Club Open show. We send thanks to the judge.
November 4th 2006 - Zinq was awarded a HC at Berkshire Downs and Chilterns GRC Championship Show. Thanks to judge Barbara Mills (Millwater)
November 3rd 2006 - Ritzy showed that she is able to retrieve game by finding and retrieving pheasants on our shoot, including collecting injured game - I am so proud of her. She really seemed to realise why she was at the shoot this week and enjoyed herself. She did end up looking like a two tone golden though - black and golden!!!!
October 29th 2006 - At Southern Golden Retriever Society Open Show Zinq won Minor puppy dog and a 2nd in Puppy dog and Pebbles gained 4 first places in Junior, Special Yearling, Maiden and Novice under judge Mrs Lena Widebeck (Combine) from Sweden. Many thanks for a lovely day.
October 22nd 2006 - Zinq gained a 2nd in Minor Puppy dog and a 3rd in Puppy dog at North Western Golden Retriever Club Open Show under Mrs Hilary Mell (Meloak).
October 21st 2006 - Zinq was placed VHC at Northern Golden Retriever Association Championship Show by Mrs Ruth Wrightman (Cornborough) and Pebbles gained a third place under Mr John Hicks (Cornborough). Many thanks to both judges.
October 15th 2006 - Ritzy gained her KC Bronze Good Citizens Award (Her son has had his for ages!!!) at the NGRA training day where she showed she has brains as well as beauty. See pictures of her working
October 3rd 2006 - Driffield Championship Show - Zinq was placed 3rd in Minor Puppy and 3rd in Puppy- many thanks to Pauline Armstrong (Pacimini)
October 1st 2006 - Zinq's first Championship Show. He delighted me by winning Minor Puppy Dog, Puppy Dog and Best Puppy Dog under breed specialist Sue Barnes (Millgreen) and then he made it a day to remember by being awarded Best Puppy In Show by both Sue Barnes and Lynne Hennessey (Ritzilyn). Thank you to both Judges for giving me a real lift after a few rough weeks. Ritzy also was awarded her Stud Book Number by Lynne Hennessey, making it a real day to remember. Special thanks as well to Heather Morss for letting me have Zinq and to Susanna Zubair who groomed both of my dogs to perfection as I was unable to.
September 20th 2006 - Zinq's first show. He was not placed but behaved beautifully for me.
September 18th 2006 - I saw Robbie Williams in concert at The Bowl, Milton Keynes and he was great!!
July 15th 2006 - Dylan (Gaytonwood Young Hustler for Toddrosa) was placed 3rd in Minor Puppy Dog at The Golden Retriever Club Championship Show at Stoneleigh, qualifying him for Crufts at 6 and a half months. Well done Pat and many thanks to Mrs Pat Tuck (Tamsbrook) for placing him.
July 9th 2006 - Dylan (Gaytonwood Young Hustler for Toddrosa) was awarded Best Puppy In Show at Berkshire Downs and Chilterns Open Show. Judge Jan Muncey (Kennelridge) We are very proud of him and Pat who owns him.
July 4th 2006 - A busy day with two litters being born!! Rain had 7 pups to Thierry and Berry had 8 pups to Ritzilyn Pasadena JW.
July 2nd 2006 - Pebbles was awarded a 2nd in Puppy bitch and Reserve in Novice and qualified for Crufts 2007 at Windsor Championship Show. Thanks to judge Maureen McKenna (Maressa) for these awards.
June 16/17th - Dylan, Ritzy's son started his show career and was placed 1st, 4th and 2nd over the weekend. Thanks to judges Pam Blay (Stableheim) and Arnold Ryder (Jaskar) Ritzy also managed a 3rd in the Open Bitch Class under Arnold Ryder.
June 4th 2006 - Ritzy went training again and in a higher class - she did most things well - she did have a couple of 'blonde moments' but Ray forgave us!! Thanks to Berkshire Downs & Chilterns GRC for running these lovely classes.
May 28th 2006 - Ritzy went to her first Gundog training lesson and shocked me with her ability - I always thought she was a blonde bimbo but she showed me she does have brains and she can use them!!! Thanks to Mervyn for his patience.
May 12th 2006 - Zinq arrives to live at Gaytonwood. Thanks to Heather Morss for allowing me the opportunity to have this lovely boy.
May 7th 2006 - Paddy was 2nd in the puppy class, 2nd in Maiden and VHC in Novice at the Golden Retriever Club of Northumbria Championship Show which was judged by Bob Lane (Kulawand) to whom we send our thanks.
April 16th 2006 - Paddy was awarded VHC and Berry was awarded a 2nd at Birmingham Gundog and Terrier Open Show by judge Josie Lees (Denmarella).
April 9th 2006 - Pebbles was awarded Commended at North Western Golden Retriever Club Anniversary Championship Show. Many thanks to judge Joyce Ryder (Jaskar).
April 8th 2006 - Paddy was awarded a VHC by judge Sue Smith (Pollingloch) at Stratford -upon-Avon Open Show and Berry was placed 2nd.
April 2nd 2006 - Paddy was awarded a 2nd in Minor Puppy at Yorkshire Golden Retriever Club Championship Show, another crufts qualifying place. Many thanks to Beryl Stokes (Jobeka) for this wonderful place.
April 1st 2006 - Paddy was placed VHC in the Minor Puppy class at Northern Golden Retriever Open Show and Berry won a 1st in Junior. Many thanks to judge Eve Saxon.
March 26th 2006 - Paddy and Pebbles travelled to Suffolk for Eastern Counties GRC Open Show where Paddy won Minor Puppy and Puppy and was Reserve Best Puppy in Show and Pebbles was awarded a 2nd in Minor Puppy and a 3rd in Puppy thanks to judge Sue Loach (Putjade).
March 25th 2006 - Paddy travelled up to Scotland and was awarded 3rd in Minor Puppy and Reserve in Maiden and Novice at the Scottish Breeds Championship Show thanks to Judge Mrs Fiona Thurm (Beldonburn)
March 5th 2006 - Paddy was awarded 3rd in Minor Puppy at Southern Golden Retriever Society Championship show, qualifying him for Crufts 2007. He was also awarded VHC in Maiden and Novice. Thanks to Judge Janet Barrow (Halebourne) for a lovely day.
Feb 26th 2006 - Paddy was awarded 3rd in Puppy Dog and Pebbles was shortlisted from a class of 20 puppy bitches at the United Retriever Club Open Show by Judge Julie Seamons (Messano)
Feb 25th 2006 - Pebbles was awarded 2nd in Minor Puppy and Paddy was 2nd in puppy at Matlock & District Open Show by Judge Ingrid Pinfield (Tilldawn)
Feb 5th 2006 - Paddy was awarded a 2nd at Hitchin & District Open Show by Judge Sue Ashley (Petabeck)
Jan 18th 2006 - Paddy's first Championship Show (Manchester). He was placed 4th in the Minor Puppy Dog class by Judge Sue Ross. Many thanks.
Jan 15th 2006 - Paddy did it for a third time and was awarded Best Puppy in Breed by Judge Jenny Armitage (Hodenhoe) and he then went on to gain a third place in the Gundog Puppy Group judged by Lindsey Townsend (Rainscote). Thanks to all concerned.
Jan 8th 2006 - Paddy went to Buckinghamshire Canine Society Open Show and won Minor Puppy and Best Puppy In Breed. His sisters Pebbles and Polly also were placed at what was their first show. Many thanks to Dr Helen Almey (Calamaca), the Judge.
Jan 7th 2006 - Paddy went to his first show and behaved himself. He won the Puppy class and was awarded Best Puppy in Breed at Market Harborough and District Canine Society Open Show. Thanks to David Foulds the Judge.
